The Science Behind NYLO
Where peptide research meets visible results.
Why Peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids — the building blocks of proteins like collagen, elastin, and keratin. As we age, the skin's natural production of these proteins slows down, leading to fine lines, loss of firmness, and uneven texture.
The problem with most anti-aging products is that they use ingredients that can't penetrate deep enough to make a real difference. Peptides are different. Their small molecular size allows them to communicate directly with skin cells, signaling them to produce more collagen and slow the breakdown of existing tissue.
At NYLO, we don't rely on a single peptide — we combine three of the most clinically studied peptides at concentrations proven to produce results.
GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1)
GHK-Cu is one of the most researched peptides in dermatology. First discovered in human plasma, it has a natural affinity for copper — a mineral essential for collagen synthesis and skin repair.
- Stimulates collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis
- Accelerates wound healing and skin renewal
- Reduces inflammation and oxidative stress
- Shown to increase skin density and firmness
Published research: Pickart L. et al., "The Human Tri-Peptide GHK and Tissue Remodeling," Journal of Biomaterials Science, 2008.
Snap-8 (Acetyl Octapeptide-3)
Snap-8 targets the proteins responsible for muscle contractions at a cellular level, reducing the depth of expression lines over time without toxins or downtime.
- Reduces depth of expression lines (forehead, crow's feet)
- Works on the SNARE protein complex to moderate micro-contractions
- In clinical studies, reduced wrinkle depth by up to 63% over 28 days
Snap-8 is a registered trademark of Lipotec. Clinical data available via in-vitro and in-vivo studies.
Matrixyl 3000
Matrixyl 3000 combines two peptides — Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 — that work synergistically to rebuild the skin's extracellular matrix, the structural scaffold that keeps skin looking plump and youthful.
- Stimulates collagen types I, III, and IV
- Increases hyaluronic acid synthesis for deeper hydration
- Shown to double collagen production in clinical trials
- Reduces visible wrinkle volume and depth
Matrixyl 3000 is a registered trademark of Sederma.
The NYLO Formulation Philosophy
It's not enough to include active ingredients — the delivery system matters just as much. NYLO's peptide cream uses a lipid-based carrier system that mimics the skin's natural barrier, allowing actives to penetrate to the dermis rather than sitting on the surface.
No fragrance, no alcohol, no parabens. Peptides are sensitive molecules — harsh co-ingredients can denature them before they even reach your skin. Everything in our formula is there for a reason.
